KANDLE Dining's Happy Campers
"I would like to thank you for another great summer. You and the KANDLE dining service have been a part of Ransburg Scout reservation and Camp Kikthawenund for over a decade. You are part of the scouting family in Crossroads of America Council, and all the Scouts and scouters in Indianapolis and Central Indiana. You, Leslie Sanborn and Kevin Sanborn all work to provide the highest quality. We enjoy working with you because KANDLE Dining has a long history of working with Scout camps and youth programs and know the needs of our campers. KANDLE also has been able to keep our food and food service cost reasonable while providing high quality nutritious meals. We look forward to a long business relationship, and know that we will have your continued support in the future as well."
- Ted Klick, Director of Program, Crossroads of America Council BSA
"Dear HIC Food Crew, Thank you so much for preparing the delicious food for us every day at camp. We appreciate it! The food was delicious! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the summer and a great year! P.S. Thank you for getting me all the grapefruit in the morning!" - Love, Alexandra C. HIC '09
"Our troop attended summer camp at Camp Falling Rock the week of July 12th through July 18th. I am contacting you to compliment your kitchen staff this year. This year's food was excellent and the portions were generous. Any Boy Scout troop, much like the army, runs on its stomach. If the food is not good or of sufficient quantity the boys don't do well. They become irritable and tired all week. In the four years that I have been attending summer camp at CFR this was the best dining hall experience by far. The boys never complained about the food and we found they barely even snacked at the campsite. I have discussed this with the other adults in our troop and we are all in agreement that this kitchen staff was superior to any other that we can recall. The entire staff at CFR and especially the kitchen staff are to be commended for their outstanding work." - Bill M., Troop #28
"Once again, with hardly and advanced notice, Regina stepped up and took care of no fewer than nine parties for different bunks in a single day. The campers were all delighted and, very importantly, JP kept its credibility with respect to the contests we are planning for this coming session."- Eli, Tamarack Camps
"I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the wonderful vegetarian option you provided for me at every meal. It was so sweet of you and it made my experience at camp even more positive. I hope that you have a fantastic year and rest of the summer. I hop to see you next year! All the best. P.S. Thank the rest of the food crew!" - Melanie R.
"My kids loved the food at camp - any chance you would consider a recipe book?
fundraiser? the wacky mac was their favorite..............and the tripper stew, salmon patties and more..........the spaghetti sauce."
- Linda R., Camp Tamarack mom
